Jeep Wranglers are probably the most popular off-roading vehicles in the world. They’re also some of the most modded and converted off-roading vehicles out there. You can do so much to a Jeep Wrangler: you can change its tires, its wheels, its entire body kit, lower it, lift it… the list goes on. But in the wise words of Jeff Goldblum from Jurassic Park: “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.” In this case, the scientists are the mod specialists and converters.
Some companies have perfected the art of modifying the Jeep Wrangler, whether that’s a JL or JK, or even older models. These companies understand that you don’t need to go overboard to make a Jeep Wrangler look nice and functional. Typically, if an afterpart doesn’t add anything to the performance, it’s useless. But cosmetic value is a real thing, too, and even if some of these vehicles aren’t modified internally, they look great on the outside. For some, that’s all people care about. Others want the whole HEMI engine conversion and such.
But when you have a vehicle that is frequently as modified as the Jeep Wrangler, you’re going to have hiccups and mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes are egregious and cannot be forgiven. Sometimes you have to just look away. Sometimes they’re unintentional. Usually posting a picture of your modification on the JK Forum or Wrangler Forum will quickly let you know if you’ve made a glaring error or not. Those people are ruthless.
